Abortion should only be allowed in certain circumstances such as incest, rape or where the life of the mother is in jeopardy. In all other cases the baby should be given up for adoption at birth.

I am pro-life. No two ways about it. And I think the term "pro-choice" is a misnomer, because the baby has no choice on whether it gets to live or not.
Many pro-choice supporters talk about the woman's right to choose. What about the baby's right to live? Some people support abortion in cases of rape, incest, and danger to the mother. While rape is a terrible crime and extremely traumatic, it is not fair to make the child pay for what the rapist did. That baby didn't ask to be conceived. He certainly isn't asking to be killed because some pervert forced his mother. Same for incest; it isn't the baby's fault that a father and his daughter had sex, or a brother with his sister, or something like that.
Cases where delivering the baby poses a danger to the mom's life happens very rarely, and yes, it's a murky area. If it's the child's life against the mother's, then I say leave that up to the parents to decide. If the child is going to die either way, but the mother has a chance to live via an abortion... that's the only situation in which I would EVER excuse an abortion- a very last-ditch effort to save the mother after the child has already lost all chance at living.

Some people will say that outlawing abortion leads to back-alley abortions, more unwanted children, etc... Fact is, abortion in a clinic not much better than a back-alley abortions. And how do you explain that teen pregnancies skyrocketed in the last 30 years (after the Roe vs. Wade decision)? And women DO suffer trauma from an abortion; many feel immense guilt and depression over it.

Both.

I personally am pro-life. But I don't believe enforcing my personal or religious beliefs on others. So I respect each individuals right to have different beliefs.

The thing about the abortion debate is that the two sides are arguing entirely unrelated issues. Pro-life people say "abortion is bad". Pro-choice advocates say "The government not should be making personal decisions that like". It's not about abortion. It's about who gets to make the decisions.

Face it -- someone is going to choose. It's either going to be the individual, or it's going to be the majority through enacted laws.

The concept of reproductive freedoms is not whether you agree with the individual choices being made. It's whether you think the government should have the right to take away and mandate those choices.

Why can't people understand that freedom of choice is not a minority value, even if the majority happens to disagree with the minority's choice?

While nobody likes the idea of aborting a fetus, I believe that it is short-sighted to try to outlaw abortion. Outlawing abortion will lead to more unwanted children, which will inevitably lead to more child abuse, child abandonment, children living in poverty, etc... The last thing this world needs is more unwanted children. It will also lead to women suffering serious injuries, or even death, from "back alley" abortions. The answer is not making abortion illegal -- it is taking measures to prevent unwanted pregnancies. Comprehensive sex education and availability of contraception, along with getting rid of the ridiculous prudish attitude that seems to prevail in this country, are the answers, not making abortion illegal.

Pro-Life
A developing baby is a life from the moment it was concieved and the zygote became an embryo

But, if having the baby is risking the mother's health, then an abortion is necessary otherwise both will die.
