Using linear regression analysis and certain assumptions as to climatic and individual variations some very general and average values can be obtained.

Smithton and White et al. in their groundbreaking 1977 publication on woodchuck behavior noted that the rate of chucking was directly proportional to the ambient temperature for values between 30 and 65 degrees F.

Additionally research sponsored by the Pennsylvania Game Commission and published in the peer reviewed Journal of Wildlife Biology in March 1968 by Brook, Hook and Freed et al. revealed data (somewhat intuitive) that chuck rate was directly proportional to body mass and age.

Somewhat arbitrarily and without supporting data I have combined these and results from various unpublished research to show that the average woodchuck on an average day can chuck approx 1.7 linear feet of white pine per hour.
