The lion will win...he's not king of the jungle for nothing and there's that tale about a lion and a hyena and a hare (amongst others). But if you ask me who of all the animals will win, I say the hare wins! Moral? Brains over brawn." Alas, poor Hyena! When Lion bites a neck, it breaks. His teeth go right through it. That is his job, you see. Of course, Hare knew such details, since his father had told him. There are many hares with a detailed knowledge of Lion's teeth. Hyena, however, should have been more careful in trying to deceive Lion, and he should have thought twice before trying to trick Hare. If you want to outwit a hare, do not leave your brain at home."

The lions will win if the hyena is alone but when it is in a pack then that would be a different story.

The lion . . . lions and hyenas fight in real life all the time and the hyenas are almost always the losers . . . only when there are a lot more hyenas than lions do they have a chance of winning,

That depends. One on one both male and female lions can kill a lone hyena. Although a male lion can kill more than one, only because its larger and more powerful than the female. But a large pack is able to kill a lion.
