It requires a couple of special tools: a steering wheel puller and something to hold the steering wheel locking ring in while you remove the snap ring.

The horn ring mentioned by ironman is possible, but both it and the steering mast bearing are under the lock ring.

A mechanic should charge only 1 or 2 hours labor to fix this: that would probably be your best bet.

Either the horn brush is dry or the support rubber is out of position.
If the squeak is coming from under the steering wheel right about the turn signal switch, it is the horn brush. You can lubricate it with some WD-40, or white lithium grease.
CAUTION----> Be VERY careful here, because the SRS unit can deploy causing major injury if not serviced correctly.
Before beginning ANY repair or adjustment, locate a repair manual (Chilton's) and read the instructions regarding the disabling of the SRS unit.
This unit has enough power to break your arms if it deploys while you are out of driving position.
BE VERY CAREFUL and follow the instructions to the letter.

Good Luck
