I am female, and a feminist, and I have absolutely no problem with transsexuals in any circumstance. I would treat them just as I would any other woman.

In my community, BDSM, transgendered people are welcome depending on the area of the country they are in. Some communities are very heterosexual, and female dominants are not accepted let alone transgendered. Others, such as my own, while in a minority, they are a vital part of our lifestyle and accepted and for the most part, respected.

However, as a born woman in her 50's and a life long believer in female supremacy, I do separate what I am from what a transwoman is. Its never going to be about genitalia. Its always about the predisposition of the spirit and that cannot be altered. I admire those who spend time getting as close to womanhood as they can, its a good place to be. But they are never going to be woman. I think that life is unfair to all of us in a variety of ways, and this is one of them, but transwomen should take a step backwards and out of respect for the gender that they want to emulate, don't participate in events where you are not welcome.

Transwomen are women to me.

Are they publicly shunned?
Yes, by the gay community itself alot of the times.

Even though transwomen have been "accepted" into women's bath houses, they are not accepted as women at the "Michigan Womyn's Festival" because they only "allow" women-born females (women who lived their entire life experience as a woman).
Alot of women sit the festival out because this "rule" is discriminatory against transwomen.
Festival organizers stated that if a "tranwoman purchased a ticket, it represents nothing more than that womon choosing to disrespect the stated intention of this festival".

A small contigent of festival organizers, calling themselves feminists, have publicly shunned transwomen by asking them to
"respect that womon born womon is a valid and honorable gender identity. I also ask that you respect that womyn born womyn deeply need our space -- as do all communities who create space to gather, whether that be womyn of color, trans womyn or
trans men . . . I wish you well, I want healing, and I believe this is
possible between our communities, but not at the expense of deeply needed space for womyn born womyn.”

As a feminist, I am deeply dismayed at the festival for it's public display of transwomen abandonment.
They not only reinforce the stereotype that transwomen are not women, but also reinforce that they are not and cannot be lesbian or bisexual women as well.

This is just one example of the gay community's silent war with transpeople (and bisexuals).

woman-promptly-No i would not because of the fact i'm fascinated in adult males, extraordinarily emotionally. i might see a MTF as a woman and would not date them. perhaps in the event that they have been pre-op i might evaluate them bodily appealing. yet I understand they have physique dysphoria and don't decide to be that way. maximum severely i would not decide to steer absolutely everyone on and date them for his or her physique.
