This is definitely possible but it depends on how much she weighs, what shape she is in to begin with (you can be chubby but in good shape), and how fast she's expecting to lose the weight. This goal would definitely take months to accomplish. If you want to quicken the rate I think you should spend less time toning and more time doing cardiovascular exercise. Toning is great but doesn't help you lose a lot of weight. I don't think that a walk 3 times a week (you didn't say for how long) is enough. I think you should do cardio 4 times a week and spend 2 days a week toning. You should never work out all days of the week since your body needs rest for at least one day. I also recommend doing other types of aerobic exercise with the walking. Walking could become boring after a while and doing exercises that work out different muscles is better. Instead of spending those 4 days doing the same thing, you can do other things such as jumping rope, swimming, dancing, cycling, stair climbing (no StairMaster required if you live in a building), and any sport. It is great that you drink a lot of water and eat healthy foods. I wish you the best of luck and hope you are able to lose the weight.

Yes you can, but that is way too much toning. You need to rest in between for at least a day or you are seriously risking a muscular injury. Talk to a doc or a personal trainer about a good training schedule for you.
