maggots do metamorphosis into flies, that's part of fly's life cicle. Then adults mate, lay eggs and those open into maggots.

that's like asking which came first the chicken or the egg. Maggots are an immature form of several species of flies. Maggots hatch from eggs, then turn into flies after eating for a while. Hope that helps.

Maggots turn into flies but flies supply the means in which to achieve maggots. How about that?
