one thing which bothered me though was.. how the heck did he get hit with that second dart? mr i can dodge bullets... aside from that, dark melancholy story (even wore a "normal" black uniform), unlike other spidey stories..

Yeah, it's a great story. But, I'd say "F"...

"The Death of Jean DeWolff" by Peter David and Rich Buckler is one heck of a Spider-Man story. It's been traded if you don't have the original issues of Peter Parker, the Spectacular Spider-Man.

And, quite frankly, the later Stan Lee / Steve Ditko stories are all great reads. Check out the Spider-Man Essentials for cheap reprints.

Kraven's Last Hunt is a good Spider-man story. I would definitely rank it in at least the top twenty, if not the top ten.
My personal favorite for the number one spot though is "The Kid Who Collected Spider-Man".

This is one of my top 10 Spidey stories. The art by Mike Zeck, and the covers he did were fantastic, along with the story. You brought back some fond memories of this story.

For a Spider-man story--yeah this was THE BEST!!

my overall story arc was the Korvac saga in the Avengers! that story had me riding my bike daily to 7-11 to see if the next installment was in!
