The interview:

How long have you had the injury?

How did the injury occur?

What are your symptoms?

How are you being treated for it?

Is the injury related to, or aggravated by, you job?

Where exactly is the injury located on your back?

Is there a way of preventing this type of injury?

I would very much appreciate it if I could hear from someone who has suffered from a back injury to answer these questions as best as they can. Thanks!

I was injured in car accident in 1998. I was rear ended while stopped at a traffic light. The wreck happened on a Thursday but the full extent of the pain didn't hit until Saturday night. I had serious pain in my lower and mid back. I was sent to a specialist who also did nerve tests on me. I was sent to physical therapy for 6 months. I was also on several different medications for pain, muscle relaxers, etc. No my injury was not job related and my job at the time didn't aggravate it. I don't think this could have been prevented. Maybe the guy behind me should have been paying more attention. Please let me know if you need anything else. I'm also still suffering from pain.
