my parents are going through a divorce right now, and no one has told me what my rights are! so if you could help me out, thanks

Not positive, but I think at that age you can choose which parent you want to stay with.

My child is the same age and I wouldn't want my child to choose between her mother or me. I would love to have more time with me but I feel that it is not fair to put that type of pressure on anyone. I want to tell you that their divorce is not your fault and that it is okay to love both your parents. If you feel pressured just tell them how you feel and that you love them very much. You should ask for time to connect to either parent by phone or email anytime you want too. You should ask to speak with someone that you feel safe to discuss your concerns if you can't speak to your parents about things. I hope this helps

i think its the age of 12 that you can choose who you want to live with. its hard but it will all be ok. been there done that. good luck and never feel like its your fault. it never is the kids fault.
