If you have a decent office job you should. In sales it is almost mandatory. Could you picture your male counterparts wearing a jacket tie and bare feet and sandals?
But why bother with pantyhose? I wear stockings everyday to work. I prefer a garter belt, but many women in my office wear hold ups. Pantyhose are really a thing of the past unless you kneed control top.

It depends on your work environment and what the other teachers are wearing.
Some schools have a culture of "dressing up" and always wearing suits, dresses, heels, and pantyhose. Other schools are more casual. At my school, most teachers wear slacks or capris. We hardly ever wear anything that requires pantyhose. However, our dress code is pretty simple.

I think you asked this in another section, luv, and my answer is pretty much the same. If you don't, it will be noticed. If the climate at your school is that teachers wear pantyhose, then people will judge you for not doing so - and that, alas, includes the administration. It may not directly affect anything, but it may. You'll have to judge it for yourself.
What I want to know is if men have these problems too, but I suppose that's a different question.

How anyone dresses in a professional setting is imperative to the type of employee's that work their and any visiting associates that come their. If you do not look or dress proper looking like some slob that just sauntered in off the streets it is going to look really bad for the place you work for. Unfortunately the world judges each other by the way they dress and their professional attitude. If you don't ware them, I would be very surprised that someone hasn't said anything to you thus far. Most places wouldn't have that. If it is just up to you and you were just wondering if you should, I would say if you cared about the tone you set for your employer, I would say that shouldn't be a matter of question. Ware them!

No I dont think so. As far as I'm concerned they havn't digged that dip for business attire. Pantyhose is an issue of comfort some people are just not comfortable in wearing them so they can't force you to. If you don't want to, don't wear them.

I'm an ESL Aid and Reading Tutor in Nevada and most of us (women, of course!) don't wear hose.
I personally hate them because I have alot of GI problems and the waist line hurts me.

Consult your dress code. Most work places have them. In most professional settings, yes, you do.
