Tretiak was certainly the best Russian Goalie ever, maybe the best Goalie period..
Papa Bear Slava Fetisov might be the best Russian Blue Liner and a top ten all world..
Tough to say who the best Russian Forwards of all time are.. Boris Mikhailov certainly would have to be mentioned, an Igor Lirianov was perhaps the greatest passer, who, when needed, could score a goal..
And the enigma that is Sergei Federov certainly is one of the best goal scorers to come from Russia..

Trediak as goalie
Vladimir Kharlamov was the best Russian player ever, back in the 1972 summit series team Canada was having a really hard time vs CCCP and Bobby Clarke slashed Kharlamov and broke his ankle. and Clarke admitted it 10 years latter that he did it on purpose to put their best player out of the series.

Without a doubt it's Pavel Bure. He won the scoring race four years in a row and had two back to back season with over 60 goals. He's had five seasons with over 50 goals in only 11 seasons played. Many of which were cut short due to injury. He came back from a blown knee, twice. And he never once lost his ability to score goals. He also remains the greatest skater to ever play the game. He holds the record for fastest skater in the all star games skills competition and that record has stood for ten years now, the longest any all star game record has stood.

Are you people to young to remember Krutov? In the mid-eighties he was the best in the world, yes better than Wayne. His line, KLM with Larinov and Mikhailov, were unstoppable during the 80's. Granted that that line together was like putting Wayne, Mario, and Bossy together, but they could play. All I remember during the 87 series, I believe that was Mario's overtime goal to win it, was how impressive Krutov was against our superstars.
