Rap has been around for soooo long and if you ask me it's getting really old. Hopefully rock is going to overtake rap like I think it will. Rock seems to be getting a lot more popular again. What do you think?

You're right that rock is getting more interesting than it has been in a long time, but rap is not going away. What musical movement has ever gone away? Some fads have faded, but a culturally-tied musical revolution like rap which is one of the most expressive artistic outlets of all time is not a fad. It's important. Kanye West and friends are making rap more relevent to all people and taking it in a direction away from the stuff that is getting really old.

i'm sorry to inform everyone here, but rap has been around for decades and it is NEVER going to go away neither will rock to be a rapper you either have to have substance and make people think about every lyric u say and really try to get a valid point out or u have to create sum bull5hit chorus that ppl will think is catchy the same goes for rock alot of rock is bull5hit so is alot of rap i listen to both but u have to take time to listen to both and learn to seperate the real from tha bull5hit ok!!!!!!!!!

i love both rock and rap but saying one is better than the other is like comparing jackson pollock with pablo picasso. They are both incredibly different but they are both still forms of art. Hoping that one will overlap the other is stupid.
i'm really sick of the rap that's coming out today though. The whole gangster rap thing really isnt appealing but i do love some of Eminem's stuff because they actually have real substance rather than just talkin about having diamonds in your teeth and how much sex u can score.

Rock has been around long too and aren't you tired of shaking your head up and down all the time and listening to people scream into a mic. 'cause that's all it is . Guys wearing ridiculous clothing with makeup on, screaming into a mic. On the other hand rap is actually about something and you can actually understand what they're saying.They don't wear make up, stupid clothing nor do they scream into microphones. So NO we will NEVER get tired of rap.

Nope I'm not sick of it, and no rock will never again gain control. Reason? Because most (some aren't) of the people who like rap are young, and most that like rock are old (some aren't). Therefore rap will continue to thrive as we will be here longer!

Different strokes for different strokes, eh? There's a lot of different music to choose from, so if you don't like a particular style then don't listen to it. Upload some Rock&Roll to your iPod and take a walk around the block.

Dude, if you're going to make a comment, make sure that it's a good comment. Rock's been around a hell of a lot longer than (c)rap. Remember Elvis? The King of Rock? And I am just as sick of (c)rap music as much as the next person.

yall mutha fukas are crazy. there is nothing wrong with rap at all. i dont want to listen to rock all the time and i dont want to listen to rap all the time. Thats exaclty why there is different types of music. rock always plays the same songs that came out like 3 years ago today. rap hardly ever does somethin like that. i dont want all of one same type of music. it would just get boring. i know all of u just dont listen to rock all the time 24/7. some rap is bad and others are good.

Hip-hop or rap is here to stay I'm affraid,but it doesn't mean you have to like it!Someone pointing at me with attitude in an endless diatribe of rubbish is not my idea of fun or entertainment.But,then again,everyone has the right to listen to what they like.I exersize the easiest censorship in the world-I turn it off! Oh by the way, ROCK ROCKS.
