there are a lot of creams out there that lighten your skin. most of them contain hydroquinone.
just google hydroquinone or lightening skin or something.
or you could go to a pharmacy and ask someone there. tell them you dont have a prescription.
good luck!

You don't have much time...it takes a long time to get lighter because it's faster to tan then it is to get light. But I manange to do it..you have to be very disciplined and stay out of the sun. Even if you are driving cover yourself. Sun block doesn't really help; it only protects you from UVA rays but you can still get tanned. I have this product that I used it's called Eskinol, it's a Filipino product even though it's an astringent it still contained a lightening effect and I ritually rubbed that stuff on my whole body every night. You can get it in a Filipino Asian market. But other Asian products are good too. Asians are big on getting lighter skin color so I would find an Asian store to see what they have. I have found skin lightening stuff at beauty supply stores but to be honest I would prefer going to an Asian store because since they are so into sking lightening I feel that their products are more potent.

I would try a skin lightening product like porcelona, but be careful because I just heard the FDA may be pulling 130 of these products from the shelves due to skin problems they can cause. Maybe you should consult a dermatologist. If you do use a lightening product I would try it on a concealed part of your body first to see how your skin responds to it. You don't want to put it all over your face to find out it breaks your skin out or turns it splotchy.

Don't take it so far as apartheid. You are right about the lightening of the skin, and at the same time, there are girls out there darkening their skin as well. Some do it for good, some for whatever other reason. If darker women want to turn into Michael Jackson, let the dumb broads do it-if they want to f*** up their bodies, let them pay fror it in the long haul. Don't worry about it. Also, if women want to turn their skin into leather, that's their dumb a** fault. Same thing. I understand where you're coming from, but you don't need to flip out because of it. It's not a racist/apartheid thing at all. It's very obvious these women have no confidence nor self respect for themselves, so...(shrugs shoulders)

Stay inside with all the shades closed and avoid going outside as much as you possibly can. If you sit on the computer or watch TV most of the time it gives you stuff to do if you normally like going outside. Trust me. I was a pasty white ghost, until I went to a day long out door concert. Then I got a sunburn, which turned into a tan. Darn it! Now I have to wait for winter to turn back to my pale ol' self.

Oh, I forgot to mention, that only works if you want to get rid of a tan. If your skin is naturally dark, you're just gonna have to live with it.

There are skin lighteners at your local drug store. But why anyone would want to lighten their skin I'll never know. I'm really not sure how they work or how fast.

There's nothing you can do to lighten skin color. Be proud of it and enjoy it. Condi Rice has dark skin and it hasn't held her back.
