Song: 'If 6 was 9' LP: 'Electric Ladyland' or 'Rainbow Bridge' (it's a tie) To go into each album would fill an entire page for true Jimi fans. Favourite from each album??? I can't recall whether 'If 6 was 9' was on on what album. I do know that I have 76 LPs that Hendrix played on (stuff before The Experience and Band of Gypsys). Another 32 CDs. And another 7 DVDs. And, It's aaaaalllllll "majestic".....HAHA!!!! Jimi Hendrix is a GOD!!!

Hendrix was awesome. Unfortunately he was on drugs most of the time. Then again most people were back in that era. Axle Rose from Guns and Roses was pretty high when he performed too. I guess it comes with the celebrity image. A good question would be, does anyone know of a professional band that hasn't done drugs, excluding the gospel singers.

All musicians( artists, entertainers ) were into experimentation back then. Believe it or not, lots of entertainers were high on something when they were performing, and relaxing, and maybe when they went fishing, for that matter. He had an unbelieveable talent...when Eric Clapton doesn't want to follow your act, you know that you are somebody... His drug use had nothing to do with his immense talent... I imagine when you are that good, and the world is at your feet ( deservedly so ) , you tend to get somewhat bored with the everyday hum-drum, and seek excitement elsewhere. Whether or not he was high is moot... whether or not you enjoy the fruits of his pure genius is up to you......

yes! but he was influenced by a lot of bad people.he was the best electric guitar player to ever live.he invented the wawa peddle and took feedback to new and exiting heights.he was a hard worker and was a paratrooper when he left school.there was a lot more to jimi than just drugs.also;he died way too young and is missed big time,,just ask a musician.

According to all the sources - people who were there - he was higher than a kite all the time. The most revealing look at it is in Eric Burdon's book, "Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood."

Ok but when we say high... he was on acid... everytime..

That's why its so psychadelic man....

Watch him at the Monterey Pop Festival...

I'm not advocating drugs... but acid was accidently made and then used to make man a superhuman machine during war...

And its amazing how he plays guitar because of it...
