Mine are, my mothers words as well..she taught me to never live with a man until we are married, then I will know that it is true love..she had a funny saying for it that I cannot remember now..Well I am married now for 2 years and it was the happiest and one saddest days of my life because she physically wasn't there for it, but spiritually I felt her and it was the most amazing feeling I have ever experienced. God bless..Our mom's our friends in heaven now watching down on us!

Berkley Breathed. The words "Mr. Spock, you are SUCH a putz" are priceless.
Seriously though, my brother has been the inspiration for the majority of male characters in my stories. He's made an appearance as a freelance assasin, a mathematician, a gamer-turned-myth believer, and probably more. He's my best friend and knows what I'm thinking 87% of the time.

My mother too -- she was a very tough woman -- taking charge, a little dynamo. She went to college and got her Bachelor's and Master's Degrees when it was NOT the thing for Women to do -- and worked. She bought her own car, learned how to drive on her own (and this was also when women did not do these activities), was a speech therapist to WWII Wounded Servicemen, married late in life (to my father, a WWII Paraplegic Vet), set up a household, raised my siblings and myself -- and died together with our father -- which was when we were very young adults (they were older when married -- and it was a 1st Marriage for BOTH!).
she is my inspiration -- the reason I strived so hard and set my goals so high -- why I worked for my own Graduate Degrees, the reason I could leave a Bad Marriage and KNEW I could make it on my own -- and DID.

My grandmother. She was an amazing woman. Caring smart loving and more tolerant than anyone I have ever met. She taught me that everyone should be loved and cared for and treated equally. She also told me to have sex with my ex before we got married because sex/love is a very important part of marriage. She was a woman before her time. She died at just over 100 and said her secret to long life was walking and laughing everyday, and eating grape nuts. She was a wonderful woman and I miss her so very much.

My father. He passed away last September on my birthday and I miss him so much. He taught me to never give up, to believe in myself, and he made me think that anything was possible. Also, my little boy is an inspiration to me now and he makes it so worthwhile to get up in the morning. He is so wonderful and he makes me feel like the most important person alive. My life would have been really empty without those two!!

Aw! Bless her heart. May the LORD give her peaceful rest. My Momma is my biggest inspiration. She is the sweetest, sweetest, smartest, wisest, most beautiful, generous thing: so precious to me. Whenever I need to know something, no matter how big or small, I can call her. She still speaks to me like I'm brand new, you know? Love her.
Peace, love. Thanks for sharing and remembering your Mom so fondly. You will see her again soon. Bless you.

My son. He suffered a massive stroke at birth and has overcome the challenges so far. He will be three in November.
He's my hero.
