If they did, we would have triple digit inflation. It would impossible for the government to do that without the dollar dropping in value.

Yuh Huh! I mean, they always say that some countries need money, so why don't they just make more money with their machine? They're too lazy! They don't want to have to count all that money!

And we have to pay massive taxes. But anyone involved closely with the government will be set for life! Screw copying your but on the copier! Print more money!

No -liquidity is maintained by the Fed manipulating the money supply. If they printed it all the time we wouldn't have a defecit and the value of the dollar against other currencies would suck even worse than it does.

No. If they did, they would be printing ALL the time to fund all their madness & this would make the dollar worth nothing. This would lead our country into a recession, if not a depression. Anyway...

I wish.... but no..... the federal reserve bank decides the amount of cash that can be printed and distributed at any given time. Gold allocation for the amount produced is then set in reserve. No gold... no cash. Gold is the international standard in monetary exchange, cash is a voucher in claim for the gold reserved.
