Was wondering if you ever loved someone but it went to waste? and did you regret loving that person? I heard a song today that mentioned love being a waste and it's sad.. because so often it's true.

I have regretted loving someone. I was with him for 5 years through my teenage years, i was young and stupid and thought we were going to be together the rest of our lives, boy was i fooled, we ended up engaged and before we married i got pregnant and he cheated on me and left me like 6 months pregnant. He took my virginity and basically ran with it. I trusted him and loved him and would have done and did anything for him. I wasted my whole teenage years on one person, when there was a lifetime of others i could have dated or been with, that would have respected me. I gave my trust and he broke it. i have a hard time trusting men now, it took me along time to trust my husband and its been along road that iam still working on but i have taken baby steps and iam learning to trust again and hopefully the second one is not a waste.

I do not regret loving anyone because I always try to learn something fro someone else, but I do regret the waste of my TIME, the years spent trying to fix something that was never meant to be.

Yes. many many times.. I have loved and it went to waste. Sometimes I feel that I love too easily. But on the positive side.. I guess it is better to love someone than to never get the chance.

I have never regretted loving any of my past loves. Yes, things may have went wrong, and didnt last. But loving them was a reflection of myself, and how could I regret that? I have learned and grown somehow from my past love's, and I wouldnt give any of it up for anything in the world.

No, even if it didn't work out. Even if it's someone I no longer love. I loved them once and it was wonderful. Nobody knows how long love will last - sometimes forever but, not always. Love is good. It's the mistakes we make in handling it that are bad. Love is life. Without it we are nothing.

No, never regretted it. To me, the greatest tragedy is in not having loved at all. Each experience in life has a lesson and it's the lesson we should value. It helps us become the people we are today or tomorrow.

Yes, I regret loving my ex husband, and staying with him for soooooooooooooo long (20 long, miserable years). He was abusive to me and his kids, lied, cheated, used me, his kids, and drugs, believed (and still does) that it's his right to cheat on his wife or girlfriend--but it's not ok for her, etc. It's a shame that I took soooooooooooooooo long to finally be able to get away from him for good. I now have a great life with my fiance and have the kind of love and relationship I have always wanted--a soul mate's love!

Well...it will probably go to waste, but I don't think i'll quit loving her like I do. Anytime I try to convince myself it's time to move on, I get kinda depressed until I realize how much I still like her...to bad I get the "best buddy/friend" thing from her, kinda makes it worse.

I don't think any love is a waste because you can learn and grow from every feeling you have be it good or bad. Its what you do with what you've learned that matters.
