and i was 3.5 cm dilated,,, i am so aggrivated,, i am ready to have my lil girl,, how far dilated do you have to be for them to keep you???

Make sure you stay active with the walking...that sent my cousin's labor into overdrive! She walked quite a few blocks and then she knew she had to rush to the hospital. She had the baby 30 minutes after getting there, I mean she had no time for pain medication it was so fast. I think you are on a good start, though...hang in there!

The same thing happened to me! I went to the hospital because I was having contractions, and they sent me home. All they told me was that I wasn't dilated enough. I went back to the hospital less than 12 hours later when I couldn't take the pain anymore. By then I was dilated to a 5. You'll be there soon enough, and when your daughters' here your going to want her back in!LOL GOOD LUCK!

Depends on the hospital/doctor. I think 4cm is the norm.

when you contractions get stronger. when i had my 3rd child i had contractions i was dilated then it stoped they sent me home but later i was back and had my baby

My hospital said 3cm, but it looks like you're moving along!! You should pop any minute now...
