How do you think we could MAKE the government do their job, and are you as willing as I am, and ready to die for your country like that? Do you know what being a "patriot" truly means?

The way to ensure that the government actually does it’s job is to become a proactive citizen. Know who is elected to office or appointed to position in your local community. Know what the budgets are and why moneys are spent. Make your beliefs known. Get other people to work with you to present positions on local issues to city councils, county boards of supervisors, boards of education. If you can’t, or won’t do this at the local level, you’ll never change the national level. Being a patriot is understanding how your government works and then becoming proactive to ensure that does so correctly.

Well I think that sometimes you have to skirt the extreme to get thier attention and know you mean business. Its been my experience though that if youre young and you take interest they will listen to a point. How much actually gets done is up for question.
