While driving East on I-90 out of Seattle I passed a convoy of RIGHT HAND drive army green vehicles. They were being escorted by Washington State Patrol cars at both ends. They were being driven by civilians. These vehicles were also brand new and had long rectangular licence plates - white with black lettering. Why were they going east and where were they going?

Creative and realistic answers are welcome. SPELLING and GRAMMAR count.

Washington and the UK are in cahoots, and you witnessed the forward troop movement beginning the Invasion of Idaho.

The fact that they were travelling away from the seaport doesn't mean much, they could've been heading to an airport, to some kind of distribution centre where they'd be put onto trucks and taken to a seaport further away, anything.

I can rule out the possibility that they were something to do with the British military. British military vehicles have white lettering on black, not the other way round (British civilian vehicles do however have black on white, but at the front only). Also all British army vehicles are British built.

I can also rule out all other European countries because they all drive on the right, except Ireland, and Ireland barely has a military.

Here is a wikipedia article with a handy map showing which countries drive on the left, hope it helps: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Right_hand_drive

They were probably going to Japan, Australia or South Africa, all of which drive on the left. My money's on Japan.

My guess is these "army green vehicles" were built in the US for foreign nations with left side driving (right side steering columns)
such as England, Australia, Japan, etc...

Going east could be shipping out of the east coast, or test driving them before they are shipped out. Ah, wait going east - so shipped out of the east coast to England (closer than being shipped out on the west coast to England)

Also I single out England because other European nations drive on the same side as the US such as Germany...I think

I would say they were getting ready to be shipped to another country, as most European countries have rectangle plates.
