I live in a bad neighborhood but the neighbors music is REALLY loud and my fiance says that if we make a call the police take our address and phone number and I want to be able to make anonymous calls for when they are loud. Please help!

I believe you can call and request that your name not be given out. Actually, the police aren't supposed to let the people you're complaining about know who made the complaint. Kind of like with Children's Protective Services: you can call to alert them to a situation. They probably will need your name (so they know it's not a prank or waste of their time), but will not divulge it.

If you call from home they will have your name and number, you can't block caller ID to the police. You could do it from a phone booth but there's the chance that the neighbors will know or at least suspect who it was anyway. If the neighborhood is bad, you may consider moving to a quieter area as soon as you can afford to.
