G'day Mary J.

Thank you for your question.

The Six-Day War (Hebrew: מלחמת ששת הימים transliteration: Milkhemet Sheshet HaYamim, Arabic: حرب الأيام الستة transliteration: ħarb al-ayam as-sita), also known as the 1967 Arab-Israeli War, Six Days' War, or June War, was fought between Israel and the Arab states of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and Syria. When Egypt sent UN officials away from the Egyptian-Israeli border and increased its military activity near the border, and blocked access of the Strait of Tiran to Israeli ships, Israel launched a pre-emptive attack on Egypt's airforce fearing an imminent attack by Egypt. Jordan in turn attacked the Israeli cities of Jerusalem and Netanya. At the war's end, Israel had gained control of the Gaza Strip, the Sinai Peninsula, the West Bank, and the Golan Heights. The results of the war affect the geopolitics of the region to this day.

Israel held discussions with the U. S. numerous months formerly they attacked Egypt as a fashion to take the Sinai. Israeli officials advised the U. S. that they'd be commencing a conflict with Egypt. the U. S. did not oppose Israeli's conflict of aggression hostile to Egypt yet made it sparkling that Israel became now to not take the Golan Heights. Israel defied the U. S. and attacked and occupied the Golan and some professionals say that the attack on the united statesLiberty and the homicide of 34 human beings became appropriate Israel's backstabbing flow to occupy the Golan area. the U. S. intelligence agencies determined that Egypt became no chance to Israel and that Egypt had no objective of attacking Israel. Israel has a lengthy heritage of mendacity about each little thing. Zionism itself is a fraud, lie and crime so what would every person assume from Zionists? the biggest element to understand now could be not that a Turkish propagandist is in a position to spin out commonplace Zionist lies yet that multiple human beings have realized the truth about Israel and could replace American coverage which in turn will bring about the right of Israel as a Jewish state - it really is an extremely good concept. Israel has no precise to exist. Israel is organic evil.

cremedelacreme04's answer is first rate.

I would make a comment though. If you can find some books on the 6 Day War, there are some truly amazing images of the Israeli paratroops as they reached the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem. Amazing stuff.
