Your local library should have a nice selection of books to teach yourself with, that's how I learned. Along with that theres links posted in another answer for sites, and also guitar magazines help a lot.

download the program tabit. go to tabit.net and get the demo, if you like it then download the full version for $20. trust me, the full version is worth it
