as soon as you find out you're pregnant will it terminate the pregnancy? I had to stop taking them for a month so I could get a pap smear and now I think I'm pregnant. I was supposed to restart the pills when my period came, but that hasn't happened yet. I'm really worried. I need to know if I need to start an herbal abortion or if the resuming my birth control will help.

Probably not, or there wouldn't have been such hoopla over the 'morning after pill'...the combination of pills used to for women who had unprotected sex and can get them quickly enough, are very high doses of hormones...quite different than what is in typical birth control pills...

...and once you find out you're pregnant, you're pretty much to the point of deciding on abortion or not...there may be herbal methods to cause you to abort/miscarry but you'd have to do some research...and you'd be seriously playing with your health...

Why did you have to stop the pills for a pap smear? I've never heard that before...women on the pill are generally required to have yearly exams but never stop taking their pills...

Why would you have to stop your pills to do a pap? I had one done recently and I was on BC and it doesn't matter. You don't have to start your pack back up when you start your period??

WHO IS YOUR DOCTOR????
Take a pregnancy test first. You don't have to be on your period to start your birth control.....
I would contact someone for help. Get a new doctor and ask them what options you have.

i think that pills will not terminate the pregnancy even the use of emergency contraception (see not-2-late.com). you shouldn't have stopped using pills even you are due to have your pap smear. i had my pap smear even when i'm on the pill.
please don't get an abortion...well, think about it lots of times...ask your doctor about your problem or planned parenthood.

The hormones in the pill put your baby at risk for problems, but most likely wont cause you to miscarry.

Its time to grow up. If you considered yourself mature enough to have sex, you should be mature enough to raise a child. Otherwise, you have no business being sexually active. Everyone knows that having sex can lead to pregnancy no matter how careful you are. Time to step up to the plate, stop being selfish, and take responsibility for your actions.

Its like, you get in a car while you are drunk, get in a wreck and kill someone. Its your fault, you KNEW it could happen. Deal with it.

I think it's time for you to have a baby.

Don't keep taking the pill if you are pregnant, I don't think that will stop it, but it might not be good for the baby.
