absolute truth does not exist no ones idea of what is true is the same as anothers everyone has a different point of view. So i would say 0% of what we beleive is true. everyone manipulates in thier own mind thier reality and thier truth the only things that are true are the things that you make true in your mind. If you beleive it then it is true. "the truth does not exist...But the lies do"

Before I could guess we would have to agree on what is the truth. If it merely means that which works then the percentage is going to be very high. If you mean true in the sense that it is irrefragable then the percentage is very low maybe even 0%.

0% there are no universal truths in our post-modern conseptualism, there are things that are more true than others but that's all. For in the same question 1 can be 1 or it can also be 1.000001 and rounded up to 2 or .9999999 and rounded down to 0.

I'd say less than 1%, what we believe to be true is determined by a fallible system i.e. the human body (brain, sensory organs, etc.) With something so subjective, despite what we feel is advanced technology, it would be impossible to determine fact from fiction in any true sense.

for philosophy: what one beleives to be 'true' in their own mind is their form of perceved reality -
however I'd estemate from person to person there's anywhere from 20 - 50 % that we hold to be 'true' that's never been based on our own experience or proven to us, there's also a good deal of mind chatter: preconceptions or generalizations that we don't even pay attention to yet follow in every day life. Because of the parallel of 'mental life' to 'walking life' there may not be an entire 'real life' in your own beleifs.

Wow, I can't believe all the pessimism around here. I choose to believe that most of what I know to be true is true. Just like being Innocent until proven guilty.

i'll go the other route... i'm going to assume you mean empirical truth .. i think its "true" there is a planet we call Neptune, even though i've never seen it personally. I believe 99.999% that I am correct neptune exists. and i also think it existed even before anyone knew it existed , and it would exist even if everyone refused to believe it existed (screw Schrodinger's Cat!)

reality isnt dependant on our puny little perceptions

Only 20% of what you read is true and 50% of what you see is true. That is what I have heard.......BUT, only 10% of what you hear is true.....so forget the whole thing!
