Thank you all for the response to my questions regarding the low-waist hipster look. Some of you have taken the time to write friendly, detailed answers which help me to understand this phenomenon. However, there are also those who make assumptions about me which are totally wrong. !st: I'm not old. 2nd: I don't come from a country with an oppressive regime that doesn't allow women to express themselves with their clothes and I value freedom as much as anyone.3rd: I'm not a follower of any religion --- Islam, Christianity or any religion. It's strange that people jump to such quick conclusions and, in attacking me, who simply ask a question out of curiosity, so readily attack people of another faith and culture. Maybe that militant attitude explains why some of the problems of the world see no hope of ever being resolved. While people have the right to wear what they please, they should also realize that others have a right to say what they think about the way they dress.

Some of the answers I get to my questions really get me in the throat, but then again some of them have pulled me up short and really made me re-evaluate my thinking.Sonehting I never expected!
I love you reasoned additions to your question and I completely agree with your thinking, but ley them blast you if they want. It passes.

None of us on here really know each other, but I think I can guarantee you that most of us would reach out without stopping to think in order to help a fellow answerer in need.

It is a community of strangers and we sometimes give "stranger" answers.

Yeah we do have a right to an opinion, but some people will take it as an insult. They follow these trends thinking they are individuals, but really they don't know how to think for themselves. So when people come along questioning something about their wardrobe, they think to attack you and say all this ridiculous stuff. Like only old people don't like low hipster jeans. Why do so many women wear thongs? Not because they all prefer it, but because they believe thats what women are supposed to wear to be accepted. It's sad really. Don't pay much attention to them though.

I'm 34, I can remember seeing pictures of my mother in the '70's wearing Hip Huggers. This is just a fad that's coming around again, lighten up folks.
