Great question.

To really get to how you feel let's put this into an analogy.

There is a man, lives near you, near enough to shoot you with a weapon. He has stated that "your kind" are evil and that he will destroy you. This has been going on a while and during that time someone has killed some of your friends and relatives in a horrible way. The "police" have not been able to link this man to your friends death but you know firmly he is responsible.

That evening while you are sitting on the porch you see the man in his window with a rifle pointed at your child, you have a weapon and could easily take the shot before the man shoots your child.

Now the question to you is simple. Do you sit there and let the man kill your child and then call the police, or do you take the shot?

If I were in that situation I would protect my family and take the shot. I have to assume that when the man has a weapon and I know he is involved in the deaths of my friends and family, that he has stated he is going to kill me and my family, and when he brandishes the weapon I know that my childs life is in imminent danger. And should that situation happen in this country I would not be charged with defending my childs life.

So lets connect the dots. Iran has weapons. They will soon have the ultimate weapon if they do not already. They have used their weapons (hizbullah, hamas) against one of the only true allies we have in the world. We believe they have supported terrorists who have attacked our country. We know they supported hizbullah when they killed our Marines in Beirut. We know that they have stated that we the infidels must die.

At what point do we take action to defend our family and friends? After he has a nuke and has used it?

How many innocent people are you willing to let die before you take action?

No one is going to defend us but us. Using a police action means you will have to let the enemy fire first. This is what the UN wants, for people to wait until their friends and family are killed, then do not retaliate but ask the UN to sanction them.

So now, do you think the US should attack Iran, and when.

I believe he is going to wait to see what the UN is going to do.

And if we wait for the UN to make a decisions, Bush will be out of office by at least six years before the UN gets around to making a decision.

So we will have to wait until President C. Rice makes her decision about Iran.

I doubt it but this president acts by his emotions not by logic so I can't rule it out. It will be up to the pentagon to stop him if he does try to bomb Iran I know several generals and they are not happy with this president or his sec of def. I suspect they would leak this to the media so as to stop this fool in his tracks. With the elections in 2 months I think were safe after that if the republicans still hold congress then we'll probably go there will be nothing to stop him.

No, it's basically a physical impossibility. Our military is pretty tied down right now between Iraq and Afganistan, and Iran would be twice as hard as both put together.

Iran has an army of 6 million, ready to fight men, the US army is more stretched than an elastic band.

We are not talking war here, we are talking limited nuclear strike.

I just hope the people of America will join the rest of the thinking world and oppose this act of aggression.
