Libra Question?

I'm a Libra, but I don't have the key tendecies of the Libra. I not very social. In fact I would rather go in my room and read a book then go to a party. I do weigh decisions and what not. Can anyone tell me more about Libra charactertics.

I've done studies in Astrology. The General Information regarding Libra is that it's Cardinal Air. It's Quadruplicity is Air, which is Cerebral. It's Triplicity is Cardinal, which is Leadership. It's the 7th Sign for Harmony, Marriages, and Relationships.

It's most compatible with other Air Signs Gemini (Mutable Air) and Aquarius (Fixed Air). Worst would be Aries (180 Degrees). Bad would be Cancer and Capricorn. They are all Cardinal. Theoretically, it means that Leaders would be in conflict with each other.

Aries is claimed to be the worst for Libra because it's the Polarity and has all the traits that Librans lack. Librans are all about Justice. When it comes to fairness, it can lead to indecision.

LIbrans love beauty. They're like Taurus because they both have the Ruling Planet of Venus.

Bear in mind that these are general characteristics regarding Astrology. For people who swear by Astrology, they'd argue that the reason why you're not a typical Libra is because you have to take into account your Ascendant, the Sign your Moon is in, the Sign your Mars is in, Venus, etc.

I tend to be indifferent. Astrology is interesting in terms of Planets and if you like Astronomy, but I wouldn't use it as a way to define who you are. That's why I prefer to measure from other sources.

This doesn't even take into account the environment you were raised in, whether you have siblings, your parents' Religions or Spiritual Beliefs, and where you live. Those things also influence your personality.

It would annoy me if someone asked me what my Sign was and said, "Oh, I guess I can't be friends/lovers with you because your Moon Sign is in Aquarius meaning you're allergic to zucchini and worship chinchillas. So obviously we're not compatible."

The scary part is that there are actually people out there like that...

When you use online Calculators, they'll usually print out a chart for you on a Zodiac Pie Chart with all the Symbols and the tracings. However, if you're not an Astrologer who knows what all those Symbols mean and what Planets residing in what Signs and Houses mean, it will just look Greek to you.

As Encyclopedia said...get a birth chart done since all planets, houses and aspects affect your chart.

HOWEVER, read through the postings and you will see that you are not the only Libra who is not social. I am glad to read your post and the other Libra's posts.

I too like to be alone a lot. I tend to feel I have to entertain or be entertaining, so being around people too long is exhausting and nerve racking for me.

I have to retreat to from people and just listen to music alone, go for walks alone, read books, or do my favorite, daydream.

Oh, Encyclopedia, I saw your previous post and I am a 28 degree Libra. You have Scorpio tendencies because you progressed into Scorpio early. It was tough for me progressing through Scorpio.

Okay, but knowing just this slight bit of info: (Yes, I am an Astrologist)

If you are born on a cusp, then you will have tendencies of both signs. My guess is that you are close to Scorpio and therefore picked up some of the antisocialness.

I am a Libra very close on the cusp of Scorpio and I definately get like that, especially the older I get. But, it could just be a shift in the scales, buddy. When we are down, we are low down...

You are not alone! I too am a Libra, and I am not one for parties, and social gatherings, and mostly like to be by myself with my dog! I do however enjoy occasional concerts, and love to go shopping, and doing things that doesent require my one on one social input, if you know what I mean. I don't mind being around alot of people as long as I don't have to socialize with them. I like people, and would do anything to help someone that needed help, but I do tend to enjoy being alone, or sometimes going out with just one friend at a time. Libras also at times have high energy, or we are just tired, and need to recharge our batteries! Too much excitement gets on our nerves at times. We enjoy to be surrounded by beautiful things, and enjoy nice vacations, and all those good luxuries life has to offer! We also indulge ourselves too much at times, but we deserve it DONT we???
