Most Dense Material

Me, after a really hard night of partying.

Seriously, I don't know for the *world*, but in the known universe the densest possible object is the singularity of a black hole. If that's too extreme an environment, you can grab yourself some neutronium. That is the material, very nearly dense enough that it collapses into a singularity, that neutron stars are made of. It is regular matter that has been so heavily crushed under its own gravity that it has become an amorphous fluid of neutrons, and nothing else to speak of.

A tiny spoonful of this stuff, weighs as much as a VERY large mining dump truck, with a full load.

Well, even if a substance is higher on the periodic table, that just means its atoms are heavier. there's no guarantee there's more per unit volume (density). This article is about the densest substances made in a lab, and of course, the denseist substances of all are black holes.

The most dense substance in the world, where substance means any thing, would have to be the alleged grapefruit-sized singularity into which everything now in the universe was then compressed before the Big Bang explosion caused the universe to begin and start expanding and coalesing into our current arrangement of galaxies.

depends on criteria,

metallic substances its iridium
non metallic its montroydite

Diamond is the hardest not most dense, there is a difference.
