Call your local salvage yard. They have all the books on car parts that are compatible/crossover to other makes.

Yes, I know, and no, it won't. The Newport is a B or C body and the axle will be approximately 5" wider. Also, I don't think it has Iso-Clamp spring perches like the Aspen does.

BTW, an 8 3/4" rear axle would not have been standard on the Newport. It should have been a 9 1/4". However, given the car's age, it's certainly possible somebody may have swapped over something else.

.Aren't those different body type cars Aspen was a dodge Dart. And Newport was what the police had? Different width axles will not interchange

Measure the overall width of the differential, and compare the two.

yes I'm pretty sure it will,,you can measure the wheel base on it,,but on most dodge,s and Plymouth,s they are the same,,i own a repair shop,,and i own a few old dodge,s and we have swapped a bunch of them out before,,good luck with it,,i hope this help,s.
