Maryland is in the northeastern portion of the U.S., also called New England.

It is surrounded by Pennsylvania (to the north), Virginia (to the south), Delaware (to the east), and West Virginia (to the west).

Baltimore is in the nothern portion of Maryland (just N/E of Washington D.C.)
