There are some bands out there who honestly care. Pearl Jam, Billy Joel, and Garth Brooks have always tried to keep ticket prices reasonable. Bruce Hornsby takes requests regardless of the size of his audience (and tries not to repeat songs night to night, so if someone saw him last night, they won't hear the same songs tonight). KISS knows that they wouldn't be anywhere without the people who put them there, so they put out 100% every night.

There is one band that I do know cares about their fans - Aerosmith. I've been to two of their concerts and both times they have gone out of their way to make sure that everyone gets a great view and has a great show, no matter how much they paid for their tickets.

The first time I saw them was at an outdoor ampitheater venue. There were actual seats inside the ampitheater close to the stage, and then there was a huge lawn that you could spread blankets out and sit on. Of course the seats cost a lot more than the lawn, and the view from the lawn isn't all that great. But if that's all you can afford you still have a good time. My fiance and I had lawn seats and as we were walking back trying to find a good spot to put our blanket down I noticed a tiny little stage set up right in the center of the grassy area. I pointed it out to my fiance and asked if he thought that maybe the band would play a song or two back here and he said "nah, it's probably left over from something else." But sure enough, about halfway through the show, Steven Tyler pointed back to us and said "lawn, we're coming at ya!" And the whole band and crew marched all the way from the main stage to the tiny little stage on the lawn and played for about thirty to fourty-five minutes there! We rushed the stage and got up pretty close. It was great.

The second time I saw them was at an indoor venue. It was actually a huge pro hockey rink that they convert into a stage for concerts. They cover up the ice and at one end put the stage and at the other end put all the seats. The expensive seats are all the ones over the ice right in front of the stage, and the cheaper ones are the ones on the side going up that you sit at during the hockey games. We had the cheap seats again because we are by no means well off. This time, they had extended the stage several feet out in front like a catwalk at a fashion show, and also down the sides and way up right in front of the nosebleed sections. During the whole show they all (except the drummer, of course) rotated playing on the regular stage, the catwalk in the middle, and the sides way up high for the poor people like us! Also, during one of the songs (I can't remember which) Steven Tyler swung upside-down on a trapeze over the entire stadium! (Keep in mind this was just a few years ago, so he was in his mid fifties!) They really go out of their way to make sure that everyone has a great time.

I have been to several concerts in my lifetime, and no other band has gone to lengths like these for their fans.

Aerosmith rocks!

I hope they care! I think some care more when they are on the way up, get kind of annoyed by the craziness fame brings when they are on top, but then care more again as their popularity slides. Some, but not all...I think The Dave Matthews Band always cares about their fans. They seem very genuine.

I think some of them do like Fall Out Boy and Click Five because when they sing at six flags they go around the park with their fans!!!

I'm sure some of them do care, but there would also some i dont care and do it for the money, fame, and the girlies, i dont think Ive ever heard of anything exceptional that a person has done to make us believe they care, at the end of the day, its a job.would you say -i wonder if the milkman cars for his customers, and i would say -it pays the bills.
