My period is usually between the 27-29, but its the 31st and it still hasnt come...im wondering why and if its something i should be worried about. And NO i haven't had sex, I'm only 14. But should i keep wearing pads expecting my period to come because i don't want it to start and be caught leaky or something....

no it shouldnt be normal yet. dont worry. if you havetn had sex (which is great! and keep it that way till your out of high school and are in a serious relationship!) =) usually young teens are irregular. so you shouldnt be worried. if it doesnt come in a few months then i would go and get checked out. its safe to have only a few periods a year especially when your irregulr. so dont worry abotu a thig its normal. maybe in a few years when you 17 or 18 or possibly sooner you can talk to your mom about going to the gynocologist and gettign on the birth control pill to get your periods regular and lessen the severity of cramps (if you have really bad cramps that is) they work great for me!
but dont worry. just carry some pantyliners, pads or tampos in your bag while at school =)

Don't worry I had the same issue maybe it's just stress about worrying about it.It will come nothing is wrong because I have missed a period one month but it came on the next.Sometimes they can become irregular. I think it may be best if you wear a pad or keep one with you because you don't want to get caught and have some issues. If you are really scared go to a gynecologist.Good Luck!

It is perfectly normal. Maybe you have been under stress or maybe you were on a trip and change weather conditions so your hormones are confused. Don't worry your period will come soon but keep wearing pads you don't want to be caught unprepared! It will come, if it doesn't in 7 days talk with your mum but its nth seriously don't worry. Just wait and in a couple of days you will again feel that annoying cramps and you will wished it didn't come already. Good Luck!

ok, im a guy...but if its worth some thing my girlfriend used to have odd dates, i mean it could pass like 2 or 3 months and still no period, it went on until she became 17 (she was 14 back then) now she has a normal period, although she says that when it did come it was very painful, she sais that warm clothes over the abdomen should help eeze the pain...that or sex...but at your age (coontrary to the worlds belief) i dont think you should be getting any

I wouldn't worry that much. Mine is always about 1 1/2 weeks late. Unless it makes you feel better by wearing pads until it comes i would just have some close by and not stress too much over it. Hope this helps.

Your young your period will jump around untill your like late teens. If your stressed by something it can cause it to be late. Even if your takeing new meds will casue it to be late. I suggest just relax and dont worry about it. Your still young and wear a light day pantie liner if you dont know when it will start. Untill you do starts, If you change your pad or tampon enough you wont have to worry about leaks. We all stressed this as young gurls when we started. Its just something it have to be dealt with. It bes to be prepared.

have u been really stressed out latley? that may make you late. dont worry about it being late if you haven't had sex because theat will make you even later. Wear a pantyliner to help protect your panties while you wait for your period to return.

If you're sure you're not pregnant, don't worry about it too much. You're still young and it takes a while for your periods to adjust themselves and become regular, sometimes several years.

It's normal at your age to have a late/early period. Don't worry too much; you should get it soon.
