I'd like to revisit an earlier question I asked. My question was how much would you be willing to pay to support the war? The answers I received were that people were willing to pay with their lives, their husbands lives, and their only son's lives, but not one said they would be willing to pay a dime more in taxes.
Bush didn't ask us to make any sacrifices for the war but rather told us to "go shopping".
I suppose it's fair to give up your childrens lives in the war and if they do survive, let them pay the bill when they return, maybe out of their V.A. benefits.
Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and cough up some money for freedom? I've included the link to my original question where you can see what people are willing to pay, plus another site where you can make a donation to spread democracy.

I agree with this, there have been alot of recent articles championing the idea that if you really want to support the troops, pay your taxes. And oppose tax cuts. Tax cuts support terrorism.

As for the war in Iraq, if I knew then what the cost would be I would say no. Now I don't think it matters. I don't believe we can leave at this point. As far as the war on terror, I think we should spend what it takes. The trouble is when there is this much money flowing, a LOT gets lost. Check out some of the numbers on what is not accounted for. Mind boggling. The private sector can't run a business like that. A good amount of money is flowing back into the economy and a lot of shareholders are making big money, even more than they projected before the war ;-)

Remember that we not only weren't asked to pay for the war, we were paid to support it, in the form of tax cuts.

It's a particular brand of coward who asks your children to fight his war and your grandchildren to pay for it.

I don't rate the war by "moolah." I rate it by what's at stake if we lose.
