What exactly arent they doing? If they aren't doing maintance, maybe they are broke. If they aren't collecting rent, maybe they are out of town.

Do you want to rent the place or are you the property owner?

If you want to rent it and you already feel that the landlord is not doing their job then maybe you should consider that it will probably be the same or worse throughout your tenancy.

If you are the property owner and you are wondering why a place hasn't rented and you feel that your property manager is not doing their job I would suggest meeting w/ them and discussing what they are or are not doing. I can tell you that typically August is a slow month for renting because school just started back so the pool of renters is usually smaller right now.

Other than that you are asking us to read someones mind.

They don't.They may be sabotaging themselves or trying to get rid of the renters they currently have.
