Your theory is exactly what I think. Everyone did seem to be acting weird in the most recent book and why would malfoy and Snape not kill Harry when they had the chance. I don't know.....something is just not right.....

I don't think that Dumbledore and Snape would take Polyjuice potion to switch places. Dumbledore wouldn't kill Snape, for one thing. He said that killing tears the soul and that it is evil and how a pure soul is so important. Also, Dumbledore didn't fear death: called it the next great adventure. I think Snape didn't kill Harry when he clearly had the chance because Voldemort said he plans to kill Harry himself.
Now, I've got another theory about why he didn't take Harry with him when he fled Hogwarts. Maybe Snape isn't loyal to Dumbledore or Voldemort. Maybe he is just out for himself. With Dumbledore out of the way, Snape may want Voldemort out of the way next. He overheard the prophesy and knows Harry is the one person who can vanquish Voldemort. Maybe he wants Harry to survive long enough to take care of Voldemort and then he won't have anyone to answer to. He fears Voldemort, but doesn't seem to respect anyone else.

It would be a good theory but it is only that until we see what the last book has to say. I don't believe that Snape took polyjuice potion to become the Head Master because his picture went up in the office after his death and if it is an enchantment that allows that to happen (remember in previous book when Dumbledore was removed as headmaster his picture did not go up on the wall) his picture would not have appeared because he would still be alive.

i think dumbledore is dead...which is sad. however, i do think there is a possibility he can come back..somehow....just as voldemort has an evil Horcrux where he can stay alive thru objects and animals, my theory is couldn't there be a "good" type of "horcrux" that would keep dumbledore alive
1) "as long as there are people at Hogwarts loyal to Dumbledore, he will never truly leave there"
2) his connection to a Phoenix, particularly Fawkes.... who regenerates even after death!
i am not quite sure whether Snape is good or not, because as dumbledore continued to get older, as specifically mentioned in all the books, his decisions became more and more unclear (not telling harry many things and eventually sirius died thru to lack of information from dumbledore). perhaps he was feeling that he wasn't able to do a good job protecting everyone anymore, and in any case he'd rather die than have harry die. anyways, i'm not sure if dumbledore's faith in snape is merited or not.... =T but in the end, he has to "win" cuz he is good, and harry is too! :)

It is very hard to believe , but it si true indeed. Snape killed dumbledore. I think Snape did it and decided to did it when he ahd to make the unbreakable promise(I forget the word, I am extremely sorry for this) to Malfoy's mother. He had to choose a path at that time whether he wanted to go with Voldemort, or Dumbledore. I believe he had no choice at that time.
It is very very hard for harry now to win the battle. Beesides, I have heard that Harry could sie along with his 2 intimate friends.
I just hope this rumor is wrong cause it will be very upseting ending to accept. Please JK Rowling, listen to millions of fans' hearts and dont kill Harry and his 2 friends.

Well it has been said that James Potter wasn't at his house when Voldemort attack it and that someone else was in the house beside Lily. Maybe it was Snape. There is rumours that Snape loved someone could be Lily, since Lily was an understanding person non judgemental and who stood up for Snape against James.

its enigmatic right through. she has introduced a lot more character, a lot more about voldy's background.
and the world surely ´has b'come very dark.
also there is speculation about dumbledore's death. jo says he is dead for sure but the thing is that its hard to accept it. also the avada kedavra on dumbledore blasted him off his feet but normally one should die b'fore they touch the ground.isn't it???
there are many other things in the site
www.dumbledoreisnotdead.com
also it is also possible thta we are all wrong.
but i really feel sorry for harry thta he lost one more protector.
i keep my fingers crossed for harry and his friends.
its really sad that we should get a book series where the hero dies in the end if harry dies.i mean it would creaze negative impact on the sale of books.

Nope. There was all that time Dumbledore spent with Harry in the cave... Snape couldn't be that nice to Harry. He *might* not be really bad, but as far as his relationship with Harry.. he's evil.

that dosnt make any sense how would snape be powerful enough to get through voltomorts defense to get potter to the ring that wasnt there and then why would dumbledore kill snape and why would snape not be able to cure himself of the poison if he was the 1 who drank it (remember he kept sayin "take me 2 snapes office") and how would snape no the spells to disarm the hogwarts defenses wen potter was fling him back
