i can be sitting outside for 5 minutes with my boyfriend, and i will get 3 bites, and he never gets one...does it have anything to do with phermones, or am i just sweeter than he is?

Yes they do. It's a chemical reaction that some people have that attracts the mosquitos

Some say mosquitoes are attracted to body heat and that some types of blood generate more heat than others.
I truly don't know the answer.
This one was the best explanation ever given to me.

Yes. Mosquitoes are drawn to many variables, smell being one of the most powerful. You smell like you taste better to a mosquito.

Mosquitos likes good smelling people with cologneand other scents that attracts them. Perhaps your boyfriend did not have a smell.

i get bites more than other people too. maybe we just got more feeling then them. but you know you're sweeter than he is but i don't think mosquitos are attracted to sweet cuz like i said they bite me too.

You may be sweeter than he is, but mosquitoes are attracted to carbon dioxide. You must be exuding more CO2 than he is.

I think it may be related to women wearing more perfumey and flowery smelling scents. They are attracted to that. . .just think, if you were at a buffet you would want a taste of the sweet smelling female not the sweaty greasy man!

I read in a did you know magazine that mosquitos like you more if you have just eatten a Banana!!

My Microbiology professor just told us that mosquitos are drawn to carbon dioxide. So, those who exhale more carbon dioxide get bit more often.

I heard it has something to do if you sweat, but I think that is garbage. I have a reduced ability to sweat and I get bit. I personally think they are attracted to mouth breathers. I get bit more when my sinuses are blocked :)
