NO school september 11?
EVERYBODY, STAY HOME FROM SCHOOl ON SEPTEMBER 11TH... NO MATTER WHAT SCHOOL YOU GO TO, WHAT STATE YOU LIVE IN, THINK ABOUT IT... TEACHERS SHOW UP AND NOBODY IS IN CLASS... THEN THEY'LL LEAVE... TELL A LOT OF PEOPLE AND LETS SEE IF WE CAN MAKE IT ON NEWS... WHY SEPTEMBER 11TH? CAUSE ITS A DAY WE SHOULD NOT BE IN SCHOOL AND REMEMBER WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT DAY. WE GET SCHOOL OFF FOR A BUNCH OF DEAD PRESIDENTS BUT WE DON'T GET SCHOOL OFF FOR A MASS MURDER OF PEOPLE WE PROBABLY KNEW? ... JUST KEEP REPOSTING AND TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW...NO SCHOOL SEPT. 11TH
why do we get off for more holidays that most dont give a crap about when millions know people from september 911. Everyone knows about 911. Shouldnt that be a well known holiday ? dont we owe it to them , take a day to greif go to the graves visit our lost love ones?

Yes. Everyone should stay off school, on march on their government headquarters demanding the truth.
There are so many unanswered questions about 9/11 that the only logical explanation available is that the American Government murdered 3000 of its own citizens.
Something needs to be done to get the real truth out into the open, and school kids who have not yet had their minds closed by government propaganda could be the answer.
Yeah. A holiday and mass march is a great Idea.

911 is now a memorial day whether anyone likes it or not. An additional nationally recognized day off however isn't in the best interests considering the circumstances. What would happen is that every time 911 came around the terrorist would see it as us giving honor to them, and gloat and rejoice over our sorrow, pain, and loses. It would be remembered as a great victory. When the war on terror is complete (if possible) that would be the time to consider it officially, because it would also become a source of great pride of our overcoming and that all, did not die in vain. We could then honor them in that we rewarded their perpetrators also. We all know what you mean and that your heart is right in this. Thank you.

I feel like the last thing we need in this country is another holiday. And I also feel like we can honor the memory of those who died on 9/11 much better by going on with our lives on that day. The terrorists were determined to take that from us. Unless a person directly was related to someone who died that day, which changes the whole circumstances, I don't see any reason to stay home from school or work. No one is stopping those who are greiving from doing so on that day, but for most of the rest of us to "stay home" would mean nothing more than to sleep in, watch TV and generally do nothing. That doesn't honor anyone's memory.

9/11 is only significant in it's immediacy. In terms of the losses, we (the USA) has lost more in wars such as te Mexican war & the Spanish-American war - whichsome have never heard of.
I don't think that we SHOULD have a separate holiday. It should be a part of the history we are taught in schools - so that we remember every day, the price paid for our country.

I say kids go to school, but all the adults who work hard and rarely get time off should get it as a holiday. You just got 3 months off - must be nice! I work 40 hrs. a week. I can't wait till all these spoiled brats grow up and realize they will be working for the next 50 years.

I agree I'll stay home, your right that should be a day off these people deserve to be remembered as well as all of the police and fire forces that lost their lives trying to save the victims. There's so many people out there that lost family members that day I believe we should pray for them as well.

Most people would rather forget it happened because it brings back too many painful memories. It only happened a few years ago. Many more years would need to pass first before people can accept it as a holiday. It's just too soon.

you're able to write some letters on your community information paper or your community college board. or you're able to do it ditch day type pass to college overdue at night or early interior the morning and slip a notice in each and every ones locker telling them do not ensue on 9/11. i think of it would be fairly cheep to make adequate copies at Kinko's. consistent with danger i'm going to connect you and take 9/11 off and characteristic lunch and bear in concepts with some acquaintances.

That was a tragedy,no I don't think it is anything to celebrate as we do other Holidays. Sounds like you just want to stay home from school. Do it if you want but don't expect everyone to want to dwell on such a sad day of remembrance.

Why would anyone want to celebrate America being attacked on American soil. No not a holiday, possibly a day of remembrance.
