I'm a girl. I'm currently taking lessons with a partner (a guy) so count him in.
What persuaded me? I wanted to be goooood at it. No other way to learn it. I didn't have to persuade my partner - he was already a good dancer when we partnered up.
Usually, beginner guys think it will be a good pick-up tool. lol.

I LOVE ballroom dancing. I hope to compete one day.If there are any guys in the SF bay area that are interested in partnering, let me know. I need a good ballroom partner.

I took ballroom dancing in college; I would take it again.

I would try it if it was very casual and with other beginners. But I'm sure I would hate it....lol
