How many years after one has been convicted of a sex offense can the "title" of sex offender be wiped from his/her record in the state of Nevada?

I heard it was around 14 years, but I'm not sure. Can one appeal after a year, perhaps?

There's a surge in the level of ignorant fools who tag me as a sex offender for asking this question. Remind me not to ask any homosexual questions.

Furthermore, I'd like to let "gamer guy" and "Brutal honest is best" know that I've pissed patterns in the snow with better spelling, grammer, and punctuation than their replies.

BLSFAN44 is a TOOL44.

Finally, I reported Chad M's reply as abuse...because I felt like it.

Please avoid future accusations.

It seems this question has migrated into the realm of the forums. Oh well, I'll bite. It's not like anyone's going to be reading this a year from now.

"Brutal honesty is best" is particularly fiesty tonight. Well Brutal, I'd like to know first off where you found myself having a "position" in my own damn question. Funny as it may seem to someone of your caliber, I neither stated pros nor cons in my question. Therefore, there is nothing to ethically nor maturely defend. But I'm sure you knew that.

There also seems to be no equality in your statement. Many people are convicted sex offenders because they plea with no other option. There are those who are threatened to a plea, or can't afford legal defense to clear their name. Before you run your mouth off about how all sex offenders are a waste of skin, show some empathy with those whose situation identifies with the above characteristics.

By the way, try not to correct my grammar with words like, "spellt." Got it, hot shot?

Sex offender.....how long to remove the title?
10 years on top of the lenght of time it takes the victim to deal with and possibly recover from the trauma that you inflicted on them.

Add on...
Funny how people become so defensive when they cannot maturely and ethically defend their position. Sex offenders for whatever their reason was for their action are a waste of skin and have no useful place in society. We must label them harshly and permanently so that people in society are safe.

and by the way grammer is spellt "grammar"

Still feel "In other words never you sick f u c k !!!!!!!"

Ok let the forum continue . But only once "no need to beat a dead horse". I'm proud of you, you caught "spellt". Now I realize that you did not take a position in your question but just by asking a question on such a touchy subject, it is implied that you favour the "con". So therefore you would have to expect that people will oppose someone who seems to support such a vile and despicable act. Also no one in their right mind would plead guilty to sexual offense if they are innocent.
Now, carry on.........to the next question on a healthier subject.

All you want to understand is: information the position they stay Description What they extremely did (because you'll get in to the sex offenders record for some very stupid motives...mutually with: Urinating in public, having sex with a prepared minor (like individual who's 16 and also you're 18) even as they did it. What you do not favor to understand: a itemizing of "turn ons" - Why would you want that contained in the first position? you do not favor to understand each little thing else they did (I,e different expenses) what use is that going to be to you? you do not desire the documents of what the criminal did to the sufferer. (All you want is "newborn molestation", or something like that; not "John would blah blah blah to sufferer each blah blah and make her blah blah on his blah blah)

Yea it sticks for life. And all registered sex offenders are registered in a network. It's even open to the public to look at. Forgot what website it is though. Just search any area of California and all registered sex offenders and their crimes as well as their address show...pretty freaky. I heard all sex offenders have to register with goverment if they want to move and other stuff.

Depending on the charge the sex offender status can stick for anywhere between 10 years to life. Check with your local registry if you are investigating somebody- it's public information.

I don't think the "sex offender" title ever just goes away...

...but I'm not sure. I just know how it works in Wisconsin.

I'm not sure about Nevada law. However; I'm sure the registering authority in your area can tell you.

I certainly hope not and the title should last for a lifetime... If you were convected of a sex offense then you probably deserved it.
