This place is so much different than northern states and even other southern states it is amazing. I have been a resident for quite some time now and the first thing you notice is that everyone is from somewhere else (except the natives of course) and that creates one crazy and dynamic situation. A very odd melting pot. There are positives to that but then you have the wierd crimes, crazy political corruption, unchecked development, very crazy driving styles, etc. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else though. At least for now. Haha.

Fla sucks,it should be given to good ol' Fidel.Go to Fla. on vacation, leave on probation, get dragged back on violation. Have you noticed that just about everything illegal in Fla. is a felony? It's all a money game here & it's getting worse.High cost of living,low-low wages!! Fla. sucks!!!!

They should make Puerto Rico the 50th state and Vermont should leave the Union. There are several petitions online for Vermont to secede. The nation really joined Vermont, it being the first state to make slavery illegal. It also has the only independent in the house of representitives. It's the only state to have a capital without a McDonalds. Maybe Vermont should join Canada.

I am a Londoner, born and bred, but of Indian origin. If we got rid of everyone from this great city who wasn't born here or didn't have British (or English heritage), there would hardly be anyone left!

Re Florida, I love reading the novels of Florida resident, Carl Hiaasen; he gives a fresh yet self-deprecating view of Florida and its residents. Read him and weep (with laughter).

Ya, but if it was its own country it would have to offer visas for people to visit or move there. Which means if it didn't offer enough, half their population would die off in ayear. I personally think Florida should be converted into a giant geriatric hospital. And at the giant hospital they could offer classes such as how to vote 101. lol

A new war of independence? Interesting. But look what happened when the Confederacy tried to break away.
