It is a good movie. Stanley kubrik is a hit or miss kinda director, he;s had some collosal turds (eyes wide shut) but A Clockwork Orange is actually an excellent social commentary and criticism of government response to social issues. The symbolism in it is very blunt (like killing a woman by crushing her skull with a giant penis sculpture.)
This is a great movie, I;ve seen it 6 or 7 times, and even when i am not stoned it is still really good.

I have seen the movie (about thirty plus times) and read the book twice. Both, I thought, were excellent and thought provoking. The book was written by Anthony Burgeuss, it actually has a small dictionary in the back of the book because he uses a dialect that mixes Scottish, English, and Russian (and maybe others) together (the whole book is not like that, just parts of it). I thought they were both well done, they are disturbing, but it was well worth it. Pay attention to the "Ludivico Treatment", it's wild!!!

Read the book and saw the movie. Both the movie and the book were great, with the book I could let my imagination work in building the characters and scenarios, the movie is very well structured.

I have read the book and seen the movie. The book is far superiour and far more effective at portraying the brutality and sociopathic viciousness of the young thugs. I would recommend the book over the film without hesitation.

the two considered one of yours. Roddy Doyle's Barrytown trilogy, Nick Hornby's a pair of Boy & intense constancy, Tobias Wollf's This Boy's existence, Do Androids Dream of electric powered Sheep by making use of Phillip ok. Dick, A River Runs with the aid of It by making use of Norman McClean, combat club by making use of Chuck Palahniuk .Legends of the autumn by making use of Jim Harrison that's barely for starters. In all circumstances the e book became out greater efficient than the action picture. besides the undeniable fact that to be honest Bladerunner is an incredible action picture in any case.

I think Malcolm McDowell is a cool cat, I liked the movie, although most of it disturbs me on psychological and sociopathic levels of indifference, etc. Memorable character, cool hat.

Yes, both. I loved it, although Kubrick's commentaty on society is more than a little depressing.
Rehabilitating an "ultra-violent" criminal is, in theory, a brilliant idea, but withoutviolence he is unable to function...
What a sad commentary on humanity, if we're unable to exist without violence.
