They probably did before too, they just never had a public forum to whine in like they have now. It was also taught to respect your country and your service in the past. Wives and mothers accepted this. That is not taught now, in fact quite the opposite is spewed in the schools.

I think that people are complaining because it is an unjust war.
We were lied to by George W about the reasons for going in there. (weapons of mass destruction?)

I support our troops. I don't support our lying, decietful, administration lining their pockets and making a profit off of an unjust war. (Dick the snake Cheney and Haliburton's no bid contract to go over to Iraq)

Have you ever given birth to a child? Have you buried your 19 yr old son? Was your child's life cut short by war? If not than don't criticize those who have lost their children!

It really pi**es me off to see or hear these whinny little
idiots that don't understand that the military is a volunteer
force and they are on duty 24/7 and can up and go anywhere Uncle Sam wants them to go and it's the man's
or woman's job to do their duty for what they signed up to do and do it right.

True - when you sign up, you have to accept that being a soldier there's a chance you'll be put in harm's way.

I had once planned of going to Sandhurst & becoming an officer. That was when I was 18yp. I thought that politicians wouldn't recklessly endanger the lives of the troops for political gain.

I don't think much of it. I served and a whole bunch of others did who were drafted. They didn't much like it either...
