1. Assuming these are supplemental angles that add up to 180 degrees (a straight line). The first answer would be 18.

2.
4x + 3(2x-1) = 2x + 13

Distribute the 3:
4x + 6x - 3 = 2x + 13

Group like terms:
10x - 3 = 2x + 13

Subtract 2x from both sides:
8x -3 = 13

Add 3 to both sides:
8x = 16

Divide both sides by 8
x = 2

3. A number (x)
Increased by (+)
The difference between 11 and the number (x-11) *This is a little ambiguous, because if I say the difference between 2 and 5, is the answer 3 or -3?

Put it all together:
x + (x - 11)

(This can also be simplified to 2x - 11)

The only problems I see with the answers given are that everyone is assuming you are referring to a straight line when you ask for the measure of angle X, but you don't state that. You could be referring to the angle of a triangle or any other geometeric shape. Please specify. Also, when asking the question for translating the statement, your best answer is incorrect for the question asked. It should be x+ (11-x), which would be X= any number, since x cancels itself out.
