I don't understand why this movie was so acclaimed...I saw it, and I rated it a B, frankly. Do you think it was overrated, too?

Very overrated. They made it look so good. Academy Award Winning, etc. It's just an average movie. Barely any talking. Some parts were intense, others were just plain...strange. I've seen WAY better movies that haven't won any Oscars.

I thought it was going to be horrible but it ended up that it was really great. It was a great love story that had a good story line that flowed very well. The actors and actresses were all very good. I thought it was put together very well and it was just an overall good movie. I would have rated it an A.

I think the sex scene and the extremely uncomfortable kissing scenes were all that hyped the movie. I found it boring overall and have seen way way way better "gay" love movies from independent film makers. I love Ang Lee's work, and the scenery was breathtaking, and the script was wonderful, but yeah, overrated as far as being called "an epic love story."

I absolutely loved the movie Brokeback Mountain. It was done with such sensitivity and I thought was cast perfectly. It was a beautiful love story that ended so tragically....

I agree, it was highly overrated. People just talked about it so much because it was a sexual film between two popular leading men. . .I don't even know if I would have rated it a B; you are being generous!

Yes really. It wasn't a great movie. If it had been male and female it would have still sucked....I didn't like it. I went to the movies and saw it. Wasn't good to me.

The fags loved it, and the heteros thought that it was weird and stupid. It may have been better without all the queer hype surrounding it.
