Go to a cooking school, even a trade school like in junior college, once your get your accreditation's you can look for work in a fancy restaurant, what you need to do is find a Chef that is willing to take you in as an apprentice to learn the trade. You know like how Donald Trump trains potential future Lords of the Sith?

Either you can stay on in that Fancy Restaurant, or find another to work in that offers the kinds of foods that you would like to make. Or you can open your own little cafe, - after you've completed your apprenticeship. Who knows, someone from a Major magazine may "discover your cafe" or some celebrities may try to keep your little cafe their secret place, until the paparazzi discovers the place and before you know it, you have to expand and turn your little cafe into another big fancy restaurant.

Since you love art and food...
you can be a great chef, because you can make art using the food, and it will make a great combination. The food would look delicate and people would like it.
By the way, if the food looks colorful, it would stimulate peoples' nerve that controls the sense of taste. I mean, nobody would like a food if the color looked disgusting, would they?

Become a specialists caterer, first you need to make ten designs or layouts for food using texture and colour but also combining it together with foods that compliment each other.
Once you've done that simply get catering gigs at events like parties or city funded events...as simple as that.
