There are a lot of theories about aliens and life on Earth. But there is a logical rule that is very useful in these situations. It is called Occam's Razor.
From math.ucr.edu:
"Entities should not be multiplied unnecessarily."
Many scientists have adopted or reinvented Occam's Razor. Isaac Newton stated the rule: "We are to admit no more causes of natural things than such as are both true and sufficient to explain their appearances."
The most useful statement of the principle for scientists is,
"when you have two competing theories which make exactly the same predictions, the one that is simpler is the better."
So, many of the theories are basically too complicated, and have too many gaps or contradictions to be any good. To be good means that we can actually USE the theory to gain some benefit other than teasing our imagination.
If a theory is USED only to sell a book, then I doubt that it is real. Life on Earth is linked by DNA. We Earthlings are ONE. If another life form came to Earth, it would be very different.
;-D Let's take care of the Earth. It is the only home we have.

There are many things we don't know about this Universe. Most people still believe we once had an ice age, though there is no evidence of that. There is evidence that the surface of the earth has shifted so that what was in the polar region is no longer there.
So, is it possible there is advanced life out there? Um, yes, not probable but possible.
It is also possible there is advanced life here on earth, hiding from us. Not probable but possible.
Because of the basic laws of physics, and the great distances involved, it is very unlikely anyone has come from outside the solar system to visit us.
If we have had visitors, they are probably from right here in our system.

Yeah I do think it is a possibility.
We try to find out about other planets, galaxies, life forms why wouldn't they? And if they have visited us, yeah their technology is way way way more sophisticated than ours. I would not say whether I totally believe or not because there just isn't enough proof to convince me.It would take them 1000+( probably much more than that) years to get to us just by traveling at the speed of light . Is it even possible to do that? That opens more questions to be answered.
Thank you for this question I truly enjoyed pondering this one!

It's a possibility.
Let's face it. If you were on an expidition with maybe 20 or even 200 people and you came across a planet with 6 billion people on it, would you land and say "take me to your leader? Where are the TV cameras?"
Or would by do things quietly.

Without proof, its just fanciful thinking. Have you noticed that with the advent of millions of digital movie cameras in the world that the number of UFO sightings have dramatically dropped since the 50s and 60s?

First of all i dont believe in no such things as aliens, if they were aliens wouldnt they had already come here long time ago and attacked us already. I dont believe in what people say about aliens. Alot of N.A.S.A do experiments and tend to use different airplanes that may look like U.F.O ships, but how do we really know how a UFO really looks like, people just like to make up stories and create monsters in their minds and spread it to people around them. THERES NO ALIENS PEOPLE!!!

Sure I think they have visited. Now I don't know about all the other crap you hear but visit yes. We live in a HUGE universe with other planets and stars as big as planets why couldn't there be other life forms on them?

i'm quite sure there is life on other planets, and there must be far more advanced civilisations than us out there, too. in an infinite universe it doesn't make a modicum of sense that only one planet should carry intelligent (are wew?) life. have they visited? probably not. there are huge obstacles to overcome for interstellar, let alone intergalactic, travel, and i really don't see why they'd bother...

What if man is an experiment initiated millions of years ago by beings from another star system, and they are just watching to see how things turn out, or if we destroy ourselves? They might intervene at critical junctures to keep the experiment viable...

No I don't think we've been visited.
But think about the vastness of space. There are galaxies with trillions of solar systems, and then there are clusters of galaxies and so on and so on. For us to be the only ones in this vastness, it would seem to be an awful waste of space. I think life to form, is a cosmic inevitability. In fact, it is possible for life to be on one of the moons of jupiter.
