depression caused by the pill?

Im currently on Dianette pill, which Im on for contraception and for my acne,
Its working really well for my acne.
But a friend told me yesterday, that she was on it for 4 years and she believes it cause her clinical depression.
I already suffer bad depression, and I dont know if the pill is making it worse.
Has anyone heard anything about Dianette, or had similar experiences?
and Do you know a pill for acne, that doesnt cause bad side affects like depression, or weight gain?

i used to use orthotricyclen and it helped my acne and I have heard of pills causing depression but ortho didnt give me any side effects when i was on it and i have always suffered depression

I know a lot of General Practitioners that say the pill is healthy for a person if they are under 35 and a non smoker. However, when I was on the pill I gained weight and felt like I had PMS all the time. Synthetic hormones work different on different body chemistry's. If you don't feel right trust yourself and go off the pill.
