Yes it is ok. The pill is 99.9% effective against pregnancy when taken properly. The only reason that you would need to use a second form of Birth control is if this was your first month on the pill then a back up method of contraceptive would be advised. The other reason would be if you were concerned about contracting a STD then a condom would be needed.

BECAUSE the pill doesn't protect from STDs, only protects from getting pregnant. You should always use a contraceptive anyway to protect from STDs, unless you are sure that neither you or your partner has an STD (check with a doctor and take a test, better safe than sorry)

there is no point in doing so, the pill is as effective as you will get, though using condoms protects you from infections and aids.
